TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. This role is ideal for RNs with expertise in renal care, patient education, and dialysis treatment management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre- and post-dialysis patient assessments, including vital signs and fluid balance
  • Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot dialysis machines during treatment
  • Administer medications and IV therapy as required for dialysis patients
  • Educate patients and families on renal disease management, dialysis procedures, and lifestyle adjustments
  • Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, and healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Monitor for complications such as hypotension, infections, and vascular access issues
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and dialysis safety guidelines

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of dialysis nursing experience (hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
  • Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) or Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of dialysis machines, vascular access care, and fluid/electrolyte balance
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
